A property plan from Tlaxcala made about 50 years after the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs, showing the founding of two towns, each represented by its newly built church. Written in the local language in an adapted European alphabet, its list of landowners shows Spanish settlers intermarried with native aristocrats.
