The Czechoslovak Legion seizes the Trans-Siberian Railway

Forty thousand Czechoslovak ex-POWs, strung along the railway on their way home via Vladivostok, revolt against Bolshevik orders to disarm — and within weeks control the world's longest railway and most of Siberia. The Russian Civil War now has a front, and the Allies an excuse to intervene.
