The voyage of the Baltic Fleet

With the Pacific squadron bottled up, the Tsar sends his Baltic Fleet the long way round the world — 18,000 miles, seven months, coaling from German colliers in the tropics because Britain has closed Suez to them. The odyssey ends within a day of reaching Japanese waters, in the Tsushima strait, where Togo's fleet is waiting.
