Madero calls Mexico to arms

Cheated of an election he probably won and jailed by Díaz, the mild liberal landowner Francisco Madero escapes to Texas and proclaims the Plan of San Luis Potosí: rise on the 20th of November. The risings sputter at first — then Orozco and a bandit-turned-general named Pancho Villa start winning in Chihuahua.
