Through the mountains and jungles of Laos and Cambodia, North Vietnam builds and endlessly rebuilds the supply artery that decides the war — thousands of miles of paths, roads and pipeline moving men and materiel south under the heaviest bombing in history. America drops more tonnage on the trail than fell on Germany in the Second World War; the trucks keep rolling.
