The siege of Málaga

Granada's great port holds out for three brutal months against the largest siege train yet assembled in Spain — and pays the price the monarchs set for defiance: virtually the whole surviving population, some 11,000 people, is enslaved or held to ransom. The emirate has lost its window to the sea, and every remaining town has been shown the alternative to surrender.
