The tyrant lizard king: twelve metres, eight tonnes, a bite that crushed bone and eyes that saw better than a hawk's — the apex predator of the final two million years of the dinosaur age, and the most famous animal that has ever lived. It stood closer in time to you than to Stegosaurus; the asteroid found it at the height of its reign.
