Finding the seam between Egypt's two armies, Ariel Sharon's division fights across the Suez Canal at Deversoir and turns the war inside out: Israeli tanks fan out on the African bank, destroy the missile batteries, and encircle the entire Egyptian Third Army. When the ceasefire comes, Israeli forces stand 101 kilometres from Cairo.
