Velociraptor

The real one was turkey-sized and feathered — the movies borrowed the name and scaled up its larger cousin Deinonychus — but no less lethal for it: a sickle claw on each foot and a Mongolian fossil that died mid-battle, locked with a Protoceratops, its claw in the herbivore's throat. The most famous small predator in palaeontology.
